General Description
1. Working Medium, Application and Features of the compressor
ZW-1.0/16-24 model AMMONIA Compressor are of the vertical reciprocating piston type structure and one-stage compression, integrating the compressor, lubrication system, motor and public base-plate so that the occupied land area is decreased, the investment is reduced, the operation is kept easy and the maximum economic benefit will be created for the customers. The cylinder and packing assembly in the compressor are with oil free lubrication to ensure the purity of working medium. The working medium in this compressor is AMMONIA and the one with the similar properties.
2. Working Principle
In running, with the help of crankshaft, connecting rod and crosshead, the rotating motion is changed into the reciprocating motion of the piston in the cylinder, thus, to keep the working volume at the periodic change and the four working processes, i.e. suction, compression, discharge and expansion can be reached. When the piston moves from the external dead point to the internal dead point, the gas intake valve is opened and the medium gas is fed into the cylinder and the suction operation is started. When arriving at the internal dead point, the suction operation is finished. When the piston moves from the internal dead point to the external dead point, the medium gas is compressed. When the pressure in the cylinder is over the backpressure in the discharge pipe, the discharge valve is opened, i.e. the discharge operation is started. When the piston arrives at the external dead point, the discharge operation is finished. The piston moves from the external dead point to the internal dead point again, the high pressure gas in the clearance of the cylinder will be expanded. When the pressure in the suction pipe is over the gas pressure being expanded in the cylinder and overcomes the spring force of the gas intake valve, the gas intake is opened, at the same time, the expansion is finished and a working recycle is achieved in the compressor.
3.Operating Environment and Conditions
This compressor should be mounted on higher and satisfied ventilation compressor room away from fire sources, which should be in line with the relative rules and regulations for safety and anti-fire. All the electric apparatus should be of anti-explosion type with excellent earth. In the compressor room, adequate and effective anti-fire equipment must be furnished and all the entire pipelines and valves well sealed. The certain distance of the compressor with other facilities should be kept. Check local safety regulations and building codes to assure installation will meet local safety standards.
